Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- 1-2 years minimum.
- IMC RNs must have Vent experience.
- All RNs must have experience with tracheostomies and reading/interpreting telemetry strips.
Special Requests:
- Travel pairs are not accepted.
Unit Details:
- Patient ratios: Day Shift Med/Surg 1:4-5, Night Shift Med/Surg 1:5-6, Day and Night IMC 3:1.
- IMC equipment includes ventilators, BiPAP, and CPAP. IMC and Med Tele equipment includes CPAP, nasal cannula, non-rebreather, epidural pumps, IV pumps, specialty beds, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, and trach care/maintenance.
- Patient population includes respiratory, medical telemetry, some surgical, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, failure to thrive, respiratory failure, and acute-on-chronic medical conditions.
Shift & Scheduling:
- No call.
Floating Requirements:
- IMC RNs may float to another IMC level-of-care unit within MMC and will float to med/surg as needed. Med/surg RNs may float to another med/surg unit with similar level of care. Floating is based on unit need, skill, and the needs of nursing units.
