Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

• 1-2 years minimum.
• IMC RNs must have Vent experience.
• All RNs must have experience with tracheostomies and reading/interpreting telemetry strips.

• Travel pairs are not accepted.

Unit Details:

• Patient ratios: Day Shift Med/Surg 1:4-5, Night Shift Med/Surg 1:5-6, Day and Night IMC 3:1.
• IMC equipment includes ventilators, BiPAP, and CPAP. IMC and Med Tele equipment includes CPAP, nasal cannula, non-rebreather, epidural pumps, IV pumps, specialty beds, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, and trach care/maintenance.
• Patient population includes respiratory, medical telemetry, some surgical, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, failure to thrive, respiratory failure, and acute-on-chronic medical conditions.

Shift & Scheduling:

• No call.

Floating Requirements:

• IMC RNs may float to another IMC level-of-care unit within MMC and will float to med/surg as needed. Med/surg RNs may float to another med/surg unit with similar level of care. Floating is based on unit need, skill, and the needs of nursing units.
