Required Credentials:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a biological science.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience with operation and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and assay systems.
Unit Details:
- Performs analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids to aid in diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of patients in specialized laboratories using highly skilled manual techniques and automated testing with sophisticated instrumentation.
- Responsibilities include instrument operation and maintenance, troubleshooting assays, evaluating tests for accuracy, assisting with interpreting results, and operational support activities to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.
- Works with multiple computer systems to retrieve information and report results.
- May work with minimal supervision and may assist with specimen collection.
- Must strictly adhere to safety protocols to work with infectious specimens, chemicals, and other hazards.
- On-site role; no teleworking.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Mon-Fri.
- May need to flex in as early as 7am during training to match the trainer's start time.
- Must be able to accommodate scheduling adjustments, off-shifts, holiday, on-call, and weekend work assignments.
