    Additional Information

    Required Skills/Experience: Prior travel experience of one 13 week assignment required. Core Lab/Generalist is the best way to describe this position. Candidates with only Microbiology or Blood Bank experience are not an ideal fit.

    Preferred Skills/Experience: Uses Roche Cobas Pro, Sysmex XN with Cellavision, Stago STAR Max, and UN 3000; experience with these machines is a plus.

    Unit Details: Department: Transfusion Services. 24/7 lab serving inpatient and outpatient patients of all ages. Responsibilities include performing timely laboratory tests, reporting results to nursing and medical staff through direct communication or computer entry, assisting with technical questions, and performing special procedures.

    Shift & Scheduling: Thursday-Saturday 1800-0630. Also requires every other Wednesday 2200-0630. Required to work 2 or 3 major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period. Schedule varies based on department needs and can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts.

    Floating Requirements: May be required to float to the needs of the organization up to their competency level.
