Required Credentials:
- Associate's degree from an Accredited School in Polysomnography.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Previous experience in Sleep Medicine.
Unit Details:
- Performs polysomnographic diagnostic testing.
- Reviews patient information and verifies study orders.
- Explains setup and testing protocols to patients/caregivers.
- Closely monitors patients for clinical and physiological events to obtain required sleep/wake data.
- Performs titration and split night studies in accordance with policy and/or physician orders.
- Scores studies in accordance with AASM scoring manual guidelines.
- Notifies the Medical Director, Physician Assistant, and/or Clinical Manager of adverse changes in patient condition or unusual situations during the sleep study.
