Required Skills/Experience: 1 year experience in NICU
Required Credentials: Education: Master’s of Occupational Therapy required..
Unit Details: Provides occupational therapy interventions per referral, including assessment, care planning, patient and family education regarding treatment plans, progress and prognosis, treatment documentation, scheduling, and issuing adaptive equipment. Provides pediatric occupational therapy care in the areas of fine motor skills, self-help skills, development, and durable medical equipment. Coordinates with a CCS Case Manager for referral to a CCS panel provider or CCS Medical Therapy Unit for patients who may continue to require occupational therapy services after hospital discharge.
Shift & Scheduling: 1 weekend per month.

The care plan may include exercises, how to use assistive devices, and strategies tailored to the person’s role at work and home. Occupational Therapists, who may supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, obtain certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. In addition, the American Occupational Therapy Association offers Occupational Therapists the opportunity to achieve board certification or specialty certification in certain areas.
