Preferred Skills/Experience:
PTAs with special interests and experience in acute care, skilled nursing, and outpatient physical therapy are desired.
Required Credentials:
Graduate of an APTA-approved Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Unit Details:
The total caseload is 8-9 patients/day.
Evaluations are scheduled for 1 hour and follow-up appointments for 45 min, with no double booking.
Physical therapy modalities include various forms of spinal traction, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, diathermy, and infrared light.
Physical therapy procedures include therapeutic exercise, soft tissue mobilization, gait training, neuromuscular re-education, orthotic/prosthetic training, and taping.
May assist with front-office phone coverage, patient registration, and scheduling as needed.
Assists with ordering supplies and maintaining adequate PAR levels.
Shift & Scheduling:
The schedule is Monday through Friday with no weekends.
