    Additional Information

    Required Skills/Experience:

    • 2 years of experience as an RRT in Adult Critical Care and NICU.
    • 1 prior travel assignment completed.
    • Be familiar with Draeger and Servo ventilators. Required vent experience: Draeger V500, Draeger VN500, Servo U.
    • Airway Management Devices/Suctioning, Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, inhaled steroids, Isuprel, Lidocaine, Perforomist, Pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Terbutaline Sulfate, Tobramycin, Xopenex, aerosol set up mask, aerosol set up trach, Medihaler, metered dose inhaler, nebulizer, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), trach collar, BiPAP, CPAP, troubleshooting high pressure alarms, weaning from mechanical ventilation, assist in high risk delivery, umbilical blood gases, and comfortable drawing and analyzing ABGs.

    Preferred Skills/Experience:

    • ED experience preferred.
    • Bronchoscopy, Bicarbonate, Inhaled Flolan, Ketamine, Mucomyst, Nitric Oxide (INo), and Theophylline preferred.
    • Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
    • Community hospital experience is preferred.

    Required Credentials:

    • You must have compact license or MD license.

    Special Requests:

    • References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
    • Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If clinician has questions, please email the AM.
    • You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
    • Assignment length may vary: 13 or 18 weeks.

    Unit Details:

    • Neonate, infant, adult, and geriatric patient population.
    • Traveler will be doing the following: Endotracheal tube/suctioning, extubation, nasal airway placement, nasal airway suctioning, oral airway placement, oropharyngeal/suctioning, pulmonary hygiene, sputum specimen collection, tracheostomy/suctioning, and ABG interpretation.

    Shift & Scheduling:

    • No on call requirement.
    • Every other weekend required.
    • Holiday coverage expected.

    Floating Requirements:

    • Float between Adult and NICU units; must be able to float between adult and neonatal patient populations.
