    Additional Information

    References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

    You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

    Required Skills/Experience:
    Teaching hospital experience is required.
    First-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
    Experience working in a facility similar to OSU is required.
    Experience with decontamination of all items, including drills, Da Vinci, and scopes.
    Experience with assembly of instruments in all service lines, including trauma, loaners, and peel packaging.
    Experience with sterilization processes, including Sterrad and steam.
    HLD/scope experience.
    Sterile storage experience.
    OR liaison experience.
    Medivator experience.

    Preferred Skills/Experience:
    Community hospital experience is preferred.

    Required Credentials:
    Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

    Special Requests:
    Previous permanent staff and return travelers are not eligible for return anywhere in the OSU system.
    Travelers who reach the one-year maximum contract limit are not eligible for extensions or future assignments.

    Unit Details:
    Responsible for preparing, sterilizing, installing, assembling, and cleaning clinic or healthcare equipment for surgeries, examinations, and medical procedures.
    Ensures sterilized, appropriately functioning medical supplies and instrumentation are packaged and delivered aseptically to the point of use.
    Serves as a clinical liaison between the operating rooms and the CSS offsite location to track and allocate sterilized instrumentation across the enterprise, and assists with procuring and standardizing instrument trays.
    Uses Censitrac Tracking system.
    Adult patient population.
    High-volume Level I trauma facility.

    Shift & Scheduling:
    Scheduled rotating weekends and occasional scheduled holidays.

    Floating Requirements:
    Floating may be required between OSU locations, including Ross Heart Hospital, University Hospital, James Cancer Hospital, Same Day Surgery, East, and ambulatory sites (Dublin, New Albany, EEI, Jameson Crane, West Campus).

    • AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
