Additional Information
Required Skills/Experience: CVOR experience required. Must be competent/independent in vein procurement (Maquet Hemopro 2 system). Must be a first assist.
Unit Details: Open-heart CVOR. Typical procedures include CABG, valves, TAVR standby, laser lead standby, thoracic robotic-assisted, and general emergent open-heart procedures.
Shift & Scheduling: Monday-Friday. After-hours call and rotating weekend call.
Floating Requirements: May float to Main OR.

Travel Surgical Assistant Responsibilities
Travel Surgical Assistants play a crucial role in assisting surgeons during surgical procedures and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Your responsibilities will include preparing operating rooms, sterilizing equipment, and organizing surgical instruments to facilitate smooth surgical procedures. Additionally, you'll assist surgeons by providing instruments and supplies as needed, maintaining a sterile field, and anticipating the surgeon's needs throughout the procedure. With each assignment, you'll have the opportunity to apply your surgical skills, adapt to different surgical specialties, and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care.
