Additional Details:
Labs must be completed within 48 hours of accepting an offer.
Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center or large teaching hospital. Strong experience required in multiple services including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Vascular, and Trauma.
Required Credentials: Certified Surgical Technologist in the State of Illinois through NBSTSA or NCCT.
Special Requests: You must be able to start on the start date specified for this job. No holiday RTO. No RTO the day prior or after a holiday. No RTO on weekends.
Shift & Scheduling: No call. Every other weekend / 2 weekends per month. RTO: 5 days max with no more than 2 consecutive.
Floating Requirements: Do not apply if you are not willing to meet the possible floating obligation. Cook is a mandatory float facility; all resources are required to float at the facility's discretion.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.

Surgical Techs (also referred to as “Scrub Techs”) are an integral part of the surgical team. Job responsibilities are designed to keep patients safe. As a valuable member of the surgical team, Surgical Technologists prepare items for surgery and play a major role during procedures, including assisting with equipment use, passing suture and other supplies to the surgeon, and ensuring the team maintains sterile technique to reduce the risk of postoperative infection. Surgical Technicians provide direct support to the surgeon through tasks such as inserting drainage tubes. The average annual salary for Surgical Techs in the United States is more than $55,000.
