Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Robotic experience required.
- 3 or more years of experience scrubbing neuro.
- Needs to be competent with Stryker instruments, Airo CT navigation, O-arm Navigation, Complex spine deformity cases, brain surgery including MVM, brain aneurysm.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- General, GU/GYN, ortho trauma, ortho joints, neurosurgery, ENT, pediatrics, plastics, dental, and endovascular experience preferred.
Special Requests:
- Travel pairs are not accepted.
Unit Details:
- Uses Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot equipment.
- Works with Stryker instruments, Airo CT navigation, O-arm Navigation, complex spine deformity cases, and brain surgery including MVM and brain aneurysm cases.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Flexible contract hours: 48 preferred, 36 acceptable per week.
- Weekend requirement: 1:4 weekends, 12 hour shifts.
- Neuro call expected between 50-150 hours of call in 8-week block time.
- One overnight trauma call, 11p-7a for trauma call; if on a specialty team, call will be scheduled per specialty team rules (Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho).

Surgical Techs (also referred to as “Scrub Techs”) are an integral part of the surgical team. Job responsibilities are designed to keep patients safe. As a valuable member of the surgical team, Surgical Technologists prepare items for surgery and play a major role during procedures, including assisting with equipment use, passing suture and other supplies to the surgeon, and ensuring the team maintains sterile technique to reduce the risk of postoperative infection. Surgical Technicians provide direct support to the surgeon through tasks such as inserting drainage tubes. The average annual salary for Surgical Techs in the United States is more than $55,000.
