Required Skills/Experience: Must be proficient in either Ortho/Neuro or General/Robotics. Must have 1 year of experience and experience with open bellies, GYN, DaVinci XI for general, and Endo. Must have 1 year of Ortho/Neuro OR experience: ortho, neuro, total joints (knees, hips, shoulders, ankles), sports medicine, arthroscopies, neuro-spinal fusions, cervical and lumbar fusions, micro discs, and cranis; no awake large neuro cases.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Cannot be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions. Housing should be available nearby to meet the 15 minute call response time.
Unit Details: General/Robotics cases include pediatrics through geriatrics, cystoscopy, DaVinci XI for general/GYN/urology, ION robotic cases, open bellies, endoscopy/GI scope cases, and GYN. Ortho/Neuro cases include total joints (hips, knees, shoulders, ankles), sports medicine, arthroscopies, neuro-spinal fusions, cervical and lumbar cases, micro discs, and cranis. Uses ION Robot, DaVinci XI, and Stryker towers.
Shift & Scheduling: Rotating shift times include 0645-1515, 0900-1730, and 1500-2330. Weeknight call 1-2 times per week, 1515-0645. Weekend call based on staffing every 3-4 weekends, Fri 1515-Mon 0645. Must be willing to work holidays; rotates with permanent staff. Call response time: 15 minutes. 8 hour reprieve shifts for post-call. Sleep room available.
Floating Requirements: Must be willing to float to cross-train to ortho or other specialty cases as second scrub if needed and to the floor as a 1:1 sitter; training provided that day. Ability to pick up extra 1:1 sitter time to supplement hours if case volume is low; if supplemental time is refused, it may be an RDO day without pay.
