    Additional Information

    Housing in ME becomes more expensive in the summer months, beginning in May. Be sure to confirm you are comfortable with housing options before applying.

    Required Skills/Experience: Critical care experience including airway and ventilator management, ABG puncture and analysis, non-invasive ventilation, code blue and rapid response experience, and inhaled medication administration.

    Required Credentials: Roles requiring state licensure only: License should not expire within 45 days following start date. Manager will consider candidates with extensive experience who have their CRT; otherwise RRT required.

    Special Requests: You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit and facility. Travel pairs: If you are in a relationship, EMMC will not schedule you on the same days. If you are not in a relationship, you can be scheduled for the same days if not on the same shift/unit. Managers will not guarantee the same schedule for travel pairs. Holidays as assigned unless RTO is in contract. RTO must go through manager for approval.

    Unit Details: Provides respiratory care across 3 adult ICUs, Cardiac Critical Care Unit, Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department, Intermediate Care Unit, and general medical floors. Not required to train to NICU/PICU/Peds unless the position is posted for that area specifically. Common diagnoses: COPD, CHF, cystic fibrosis, ARDS, MVA trauma/surgery, pneumonia, lung cancer, stroke, ALS, GBS, COVID19, RSV. Very critical care-focused and protocol-driven RT team. Equipment used: Servo U, Servo I, Hamilton T1, Trilogy, V60, V30, EV300, Vero Biotech Nitric Delivery.

    Shift & Scheduling: Night shift hours are 1845-0715. Every other weekend. Voluntary call only - 2 hours before shift start time and 2 hours after.

    Floating Requirements: Float to other trained units only.
