    Additional Information

    Required Credentials: One of the following is required:

    • Associates degree.
    • Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited sonography program.

    Required Skills/Experience: Adult transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) experience in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings. Comprehensive understanding of cardiac hemodynamics, PISA quantification, strain, and simple pediatric indications (murmur, bicuspid AV, etc., 5 years old and older). Experience with Definity, Optison, and bubble studies (agitated saline). Must have knowledge of cardiac pathophysiology, diagnostic procedures, and patient care procedures. Ability to scan a full echo and report in 75 minutes.

    Preferred Skills/Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience in adult and pediatric cardiac sonography including experience with transesophageal and stress echo. Experience with outreach services helpful.

    Unit Details: Performs complete echocardiographic studies across cardiac echo imaging modalities and procedures. Includes stress lab and stress echo lab procedures and outreach. Uses the Echo Information Management System and other necessary computer applications. Patient population includes neonate to geriatric patients.

    Shift & Scheduling: M-F varying shifts 7:00am-5pm. No weekends or call. Holiday coverage as needed.
