    Additional Information

    Required Skills/Experience:

    • Must have two (2) years of clinical experience, which includes one year in a comparable position.

    Required Credentials:

    • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Doctoral degree in Psychology.
    • Must be at least board eligible to qualify for privileges.
    • A valid driver's license.

    Unit Details:

    • Provides mental health care for inmates/residents.
    • Conducts psychological screenings and assessments through record review and clinical interviews.
    • Develops, implements, and modifies individual treatment plans based on evaluation of needs and level of functioning.
    • Makes regular rounds in segregation or other confined housing areas to assess inmate adjustment and mental health treatment needs.
    • Provides crisis mental health assessments, counseling, and confrontation avoidance interventions.
    • Works as part of an interdisciplinary mental health team with psychiatry, nursing, medical, social work, education, chaplain, and security staff.
