CT Technologist

Preferred Skills/Experience:

- Uses GE and Siemens equipment and Fuji PACS.
- Typical procedures include bone marrow biopsy, cryoablations, microwave ablations, CTA coronary/pulmonary, liver biopsy, and general ortho, body, and neuro scans.

- Rotating call required.

Unit Details:
- CTs with and without contrast.
- ER and inpatient cases.
- Average 16 - 24 scans per day.
- Uses Fuji PACS and GE scanners (one 16-slice and 2 64-slice).
- Radiologist in house during the day; virtual coverage at night, with ER doctor for emergencies.
- Starts IVs.
- May be asked to precept as needed by the unit.

Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
- Holidays occasionally; rotates with permanent staff.
- Flexible contract hours: 36/48 hours rotating per two weeks.
- Backup call every 6th week with a 30 minute response time. If the off-week rotation falls on Monday through Wednesday, call is 5p-6am. If the off-week rotation falls on Thursday through Sunday, call is Thursday 5 p.m.-6 a.m., Friday 5 p.m.-7 a.m., Saturday 7a-7a, and Sunday 7a-6a. Always someone is in house.

Floating Requirements:
- First to float between Bryan and College Station campuses as needed.
