Additional Information
Expect someone with a 501 or 605 area code to reach out to interview you for this position.
Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers considered upon manager review with strong experience. Critical care and general respiratory care experience required.
Required Credentials: CRT may be considered based on experience.
Special Requests: If you can start on the requested start date, you are more likely to be selected for an interview or offer. Only 1 active application is allowed for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). If you apply for day shift, you may also apply for night shift at the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day-shift position on the same unit and facility. May request up to 7 days off if the department can accommodate; must extend the contract if taking a full week off. Approved time off does not waive contracted weekly hours. Travelers are expected to fulfill all contracted weekly hours. Travelers on extension contracts might be granted additional flexibility based on department needs.
Unit Details: Pediatric critical care, neonatal critical care, and general inpatient respiratory care. Must be prepared to care for NICU patients if the requisition calls for that. Uses Omnicell. Equipment includes Draeger V500 and Savina 300 ventilators, 3100A Oscillator, Hamilton C1/MRI, ResMed APAP/CPAP/Bi-level, Airvo2 high flow devices, Cough Assist, Incourage vest, ABL90 blood gas machines, IPV, and Praxair iNO.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Generally no call unless planned for events like the Rally at Rapid City Hospital. Work holidays that fall within the contract dates.
Floating Requirements: RT coverage throughout the hospital and ED; will not float to other facilities unless hired for that specifically.
