Required Skills/Experience:
Must have Cath Lab experience.
Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures are required, including supply and equipment usage such as PTCA/Stent, complex PCI utilizing Shockwave IVL, Rotapro Atherectomy, CSI Atherectomy, kissing balloon approach, IABP, Impella CP, IVUS (Philips), iFR/FFR, and device implants including PPM, ICD, Bi-V, and leadless pacemaker implants.
Vascular skills for the Gateway Campus are required, including EKOS Thrombolysis and INARI Thrombectomy.
Diagnostic and interventional neurovascular procedure skills are required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
2 years' Cath Lab experience preferred.
Structural Heart experience (TAVR, LAAO, PFO/ASD) is preferred; a system is in place to train scrub techs (RTs and RNs) to become competent in TAVRs, but applicants with PFO/ASD and LAAO procedure experience are preferred.
Required Credentials:
An associate degree or certificate is accepted.
Unit Details:
The Cath and EP areas handle 12-15 cases per day.
Cardiac procedures are high volume and high priority; vascular procedures for the Gateway Campus are low volume and low priority; neurovascular procedures are low to medium volume and low priority.
Uses CUPID and GE MacLab/CardioLab.
Shift & Scheduling:
On call 1-2 nights per week, with call on 2 weekends in a 6 week schedule. Weekend call runs from Friday 5pm CST – Monday 0630 CST, with a 30-minute response time.
The clinician will rotate through upcoming holidays on the team they are placed on.
Set weekly contract hours are assured except during orientation week and when the unit is closed for holidays.
