Required Skills/Experience:
Surgical technologist training in general, gynecologic, vascular, orthopedic, urology, podiatry, and Da Vinci robotic specialties is required.
Unit Details:
Surgical specialties include Da Vinci robotic surgery, spine, orthopedic, vascular, thoracic, interventional pain management, interventional cardiology, gynecologic, general, oral, urologic, eye, and trauma/emergency services.
Equipment and case mix include a Zeiss microscope, Aquablation, Holmium laser, total joint procedures, orthopedic spine procedures, and Da Vinci robotic surgery.
The patient population includes all ages.
Shift & Scheduling:
Weekend hours include a dedicated weekend shift and potential for additional coverage.
On-call requirements are 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month.
Floating Requirements:
Floating is interdepartmental.
The surgical technologist can be assigned to both the Main OR and the Raleigh Medical Complex (ASC).

Travel Surgical Tech Job Responsibilities and Salary
Surgical Techs (also referred to as “Scrub Techs”) are an integral part of the surgical team. Job responsibilities are designed to keep patients safe. As a valuable member of the surgical team, Surgical Technologists prepare items for surgery and play a major role during procedures, including assisting with equipment use, passing suture and other supplies to the surgeon, and ensuring the team maintains sterile technique to reduce the risk of postoperative infection. Surgical Technicians provide direct support to the surgeon through tasks such as inserting drainage tubes. The average annual salary for Surgical Techs in the United States is more than $55,000.
