Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Proficient in both peripheral vascular IR and neuro vascular IR.
- Minimum 2 years experience. Technologist needs to be able to scrub both peripheral and neuro cases; stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephogram, peripherals, drainages, upper and lower extremity, abd and pelvic, vascular studies, venous access, neurological studies.
- 4 IR rooms that include 2 single plan and 2 biplane Siemens c-arms. Two IR techs are assigned to each room, one tech circulates and the other scrubs. Level 1 trauma, Level 1 PE, Level 1 stroke, vascular interventional and neuro interventional to include, angiograms, embolizations, nephrostomy, IVC filter placement, PE thrombectomy, intracranial thrombectomy, stent placements, central line insertions, etc.
- Skills: Venous Access, Accessing/Managing Ports, Central Venous Access (non-Tunneled/PICC lines), Central Venous Lines- Care and Maintenance, PICC Lines- Care and Maintenance, Abdominal and Pelvic, Angioplasty, Chest Tube Placement, Embolization, ERCP, Gastrostomy Tube Placement, Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filter placement, Liver Biopsy, Mesenteric Angiogram, Paracentesis, Radio embolization, Stent placement, Thoracentesis, Vascular Studies/Procedures, Angioplasty, Carotid Stenting, Central Venous Access/Port Placement, Dialysis Graft Creation/Revision, Dialysis Graft interventions (fistulograms/declots), Endovascular Interventions, TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt), Upper and Lower Extremity Angiography, Electrophysiology Studies, Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures, Cardiac Stent Placement, Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA), Neurological Studies/Procedures, Carotid Angiography, Discogram, Embolization, Stent placement, Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy, Vertebroplasty, Genitourinary Studies/Procedures, Catheter/drain exchange, Internal/external biliary drainage, Percutaneous transhepatic cholangiogram, Renal Artery Stent Placement, Ureteral Stent Placement, Equipment/Operation/Maintenance, Equipment and Devices, Additional Skills, Contrast
- Special Equipment: Nephogram, Peripherals
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Teaching hospital experience.
- Skills: Cardiac Ablation, Cystoscopy, Embolization, Gastrostomy, Nephrostomy, Percutaneous Stone Extraction, PACS, Siemens
- Patient Diagnoses: Adolescents, Geriatrics
- Special Equipment: Biopsies, C-Arm, Kyphoplasty
Special Requests:
- References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
- You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
- First time travelers accepted.
- IU Health will not allow IN RN's to work at their facilities. Exceptions include: Periop/OR RN's, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Call requirement: on call every 3rd or 4th weekend starting Fri at 1730 through Mon at 0700.
- RTO - we can auto-approve 5 days of non holiday RTO or less. Anything more requires facility approval. Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
Floating Requirements:
- Floating is 100% required of all travelers. Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s near by.
Details:
• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
