ChatGPT Plugin Privacy Notice
What the Trusted Health plugin in ChatGPT receives, how it's used, and how long it's kept.
On this page
This notice covers the Trusted Health plugin in ChatGPT ("the plugin"), offered by Trusted, Inc. It supplements the Trusted Health Privacy Policy. Where they differ for the plugin, this notice applies.
What the plugin does
The plugin lets you search open jobs on Trusted and compare travel pay from inside ChatGPT. It works without an account and doesn't connect to your Trusted profile.
What we receive
When ChatGPT uses the plugin, it sends our server the search details needed to answer you: a role ("RN"), specialty ("ICU"), place ("Denver, CO"), shift, contract length, start date or minimum weekly pay, or the ID of a job you asked about.
- We only accept place names and ZIP codes as locations. Anything else isn't used in any lookup.
- The plugin doesn't ask for, and isn't designed to receive, your name, contact details, license numbers, government IDs, health information or patient information. Please don't include them.
- We don't receive your ChatGPT conversation or OpenAI account details. ChatGPT may attach general context to requests, such as language or approximate location; the plugin doesn't use or store it. OpenAI's handling of your conversations is covered by OpenAI's privacy policy.
- Our server sees the network address each request comes from, which is generally OpenAI's servers rather than your device. It keeps addresses in memory for up to 10 minutes to limit request rates, and our hosting provider records basic request data: the time, the address and the response status.
How we use it, and who receives it
- To answer the request. Search details go to Trusted's own job and pay service. Recent results, and the search details used to fetch them, are kept only in server memory so repeated questions are fast. They're never written to disk or a database, and are cleared as newer searches replace them or when the server restarts.
- To keep the service working and secure. When something fails, our logs record the error and its details (for example, a timeout). An error message can include the search term that caused it.
- Recipients. Trusted, and our hosting provider, Render, as a service provider. Plugin logs aren't sent to any other logging or analytics service. We don't sell plugin request data or share it for advertising.
Links to trustedhealth.com
Links from the plugin carry tags (for example utm_source=chatgpt) that tell us the visit
came from ChatGPT. When you open one, you're on trustedhealth.com, and the
Trusted Health Privacy Policy applies, including the cookies and partners
it describes. You can manage those with Your Privacy Choices at the bottom of any
trustedhealth.com page.
Retention
- Plugin search details: never written to disk or a database. They're held only in server memory, as described above.
- Server and error logs, kept by our hosting provider: up to 30 days, then deleted.
Your rights and choices
You can stop using the plugin at any time in ChatGPT settings. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have rights to know, delete or correct personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Because the plugin doesn't save search details, there's usually nothing to return or delete beyond short-lived logs. To make a request, email legal@trustedhealth.com or see the Trusted Health Privacy Policy.
Changes
We'll update this notice if the plugin starts handling data differently, for example if we add optional sign-in to show saved jobs.
