Required Skills/Experience:
If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations.
Required Credentials:
Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.
Special Requests:
RTO must be listed at time of submission.
All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Will accept 13 or 26 week contracts.
Travelers can request up to 2 major holidays off.
Permanent candidates from any other Providence facility (non-Swedish) are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months.
Unit Details:
Patient population includes adolescents, infants, and adults.
Patients include those in labor and preterm labor.
Scope includes circulation, OB-GYN, pre-op, post-op, scrub, low-risk antepartum, and low-risk L&D care.
Procedures and treatments include blood and blood product administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, drains, wound vacs, and epidural, PCA, and syringe pumps.
Equipment and therapies include cooling/warming blankets, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate.
Clinicians attend all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries.
Unit activities include GYN surgeries, couplet care, low-risk antepartum care, and transition nursery care.
Shift & Scheduling:
This unit only requires travelers to work 1 of 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve.
Floating Requirements:
Float to Post-Partum and possibly to L&D at Swedish First Hill.
Float to NICU based on skill set.
Details:
• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
