    Additional Details:

    Preferred Skills/Experience:

    • Acute care facility experience preferred.
    • Able to attend a delivery as the NRP nurse preferred, but not mandatory.

    Special Requests:

    • Time off requests should be disclosed prior to contract acceptance.

    Unit Details:

    • Cares for specialty care newborns.
    • Uses Pyxis.
    • Documentation system is currently Cerner and moving to Epic.
    • Primary RN is expected to start IVs unless there are failed attempts.
    • Lab draws all labs except some newborn labs, including metabolic screens and heel sticks for bilirubin.
    • RT and NICU RN attend all deliveries and cesarean sections.
    • Part-time lactation services support; CRNA and OB hospitalist are in house; OB and pediatric are on-call.

    Shift & Scheduling:

    • Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
    • On-call required if in contract, with a 30-minute response time.
    • May schedule up to 2 weekends in a row, but usually every other weekend, unless volunteers pick up more weekend shifts.

    Floating Requirements:

    • You may be required to float to Adventist Health locations within 30 miles.

    Details:

    • AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
