Additional Details:
An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.
Required Skills/Experience: Experience required in an inpatient hospital setting (STAC).
Preferred Skills/Experience: 1 Year Medical Surgical Rehab experience (a plus but not required) - OR - nurses with M/S background.
Required Credentials: Associate Degree or Certificate
Unit/Facility Details: Patient Ratio 1:4-1:6 PM 1:8 Nights
Shift & Scheduling:
• 12 hour variable shifts. 6am-630pm, 6p-630a
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation
• On Call/Call Back Requirements: Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours - can be low censused in hour increments as needed. Unit will typically low census in 4 hr increments and could ask for a traveler to work only 4 or 8 hrs of the shift. This is not considered to be on call.

Some responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering and maintaining IV infusions, providing wound care, providing wound vacs, and coordinating care. LTAC nurses care for patients over an extended period of time, usually 25 days or more, and they have the opportunity to truly build rapport with patients.
