Mayo Clinic’s CareCast will be integrated into Trusted Works, laying the foundation for proactive staffing and clinician-centered scheduling
SAN FRANCISCO — Sept. 10, 2026 — Trusted Health, a healthcare workforce technology company, today announced a collaboration to bring Mayo Clinic’s CareCast workforce demand forecasting technology to hospitals and health systems through Trusted Works.
Developed by Mayo Clinic, CareCast uses historical staffing, patient volume trends, and operational data to forecast future workforce demand. Under the agreement, Mayo Clinic will license CareCast to Trusted Health for integration into Trusted Works, its staffing and scheduling optimization platform, and commercialization to other health systems.
Trusted Works AI agents will utilize CareCast’s forecasts to build schedules, surface coverage gaps, and fill open shifts. The agents will compare each plan to actual outcomes and feed the gaps back into the forecast, so accuracy compounds with every scheduling period.
Trusted Works is designed to add intelligence and automation across the workforce and scheduling systems health systems already use — modernizing operations while preserving established workflows and prior technology investments.

What’s next
Beyond the initial CareCast integration, Mayo Clinic and Trusted Health will leverage the Trusted Works platform to improve clinician experience related to scheduling and staffing, informed by direct input from Mayo Clinic nurses and nursing leaders. Agentic capabilities will coordinate that work behind the scenes while respecting each hospital’s policies, labor rules, and operational controls.
Trusted Health aims to create workforce operations that are more responsive to patient demand, more manageable for healthcare leaders, and more flexible for clinicians.
