Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Proven experience in orthopedic surgery, including trauma and total joint revisions. Proficient in first scrubbing multi-vendor cases with minimal guidance. Strong working knowledge of multiple vendor systems and orthopedic instrumentation. Experience with Mako robotic-assisted surgery and Hana table positioning.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Additional experience preferred in General, GU/GYN, neurosurgery, ENT, pediatrics, plastics, dental, and endovascular cases.
Special Requests: Travel pairs are not accepted.
Unit Details: Orthopedic specialty OR assignment with complex total joint revisions and orthopedic trauma procedures. First scrub complex total joint revision cases using vendor systems including Stryker, DePuy, Smith & Nephew, and Zimmer. First assist on polytrauma orthopedic cases with minimal supervision. Uses Mako robotic system, Hana table, Storz, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot. Fast-paced, high-volume surgical environment with emphasis on 30-minute room turnovers and a 90% first case on-time start rate.
Shift & Scheduling: Flexible shift options: 10 or 12 hours. 1:4 weekends, 12 hour shifts. Weekend call: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM. Call requirements: one overnight call, 11p-7a for Trauma call; if on a specialty team, call will be scheduled per specialty team rules (Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho).
