    Additional Details:

    All jobs with a 12 hour schedule have the option of a 36 or 48 hour work week.

    Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.

    In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on drivers license.

    Driver License is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license.

    Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/TDAP declinations.

    Required Credentials: MOAB Moderate Risk req after sub. Driver's License/State ID for sub

    Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. No call.

    Postpartum Travel Nurse Job Responsibilities and Salary

    Postpartum nurse responsibilities include checking vital signs, managing and removing urinary catheters, administering medications, and checking wounds (if a C-section was performed). These nurses will also assess the mother's lochia and the fundus. Postpartum nurses work closely with midwives and OBGYNs. These nurses provide education and support to the mother and family about their new baby. Education may include instructing on signs and symptoms of postpartum depression as well as caring for the new baby. Nurses also coordinate and introduce lactation specialists.
