Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Strong Neuro/ENT background required.
- Spine Surgeries: Laminectomies, ALIFs, Fusions & Discectomies
- Cranial Surgeries: Tumors, AVMs/Aneurysms (Not required), VP shunts, Subdural, EVDs (DOES NOT need to know how to set the system up)
- ENT: Neck dissections with flaps; Sinus Surgery (Stealth Navigation); Basic ENT (Tonsils); Tympanoplasty; Cochlear (Not required)
- Navigation: Medtronic (Cranial & Spine); Medtronic Stealth (ENT); Stryker & Synaptive Navigation (Cranial)
- Orthopedic: Fractures, Anterior Hips, Total Joints, Ortho Spine, Hand/Podiatry
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- RN circulator with scrubbing experience preferred.
- General/Ortho

- First-time travelers require further approval/evaluation from the hiring supervisor and are not recommended.
Unit Details:
- Cases include spine surgeries: Laminectomies, ALIFs, fusions, and discectomies.
- Cranial surgeries include tumors, VP shunts, subdural cases, and EVDs; AVM/aneurysm cases are not required.
- ENT cases include neck dissections with flaps, sinus surgery using Stealth Navigation, tonsils, tympanoplasty, and cochlear cases are not required.
- Additional cases include orthopedic fractures, anterior hips, total joints, ortho spine, hand/podiatry, breasts/plastics, vascular, laparoscopic, general oncology, genitourinary, gynecology, and robots (XI).
- Uses Medtronic navigation for cranial and spine, Medtronic Stealth for ENT, Stryker and Synaptive navigation for cranial, Hanna Table, Alaris, and Pyxis.
- Robot training is not provided unless there is a strong background and the assignment extends beyond one contract.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Holiday weeks: can work 4(10hr) shifts or take the holiday unpaid.
- On-call requires a 30-minute response time.
- Evening shift call slots: 1930-2230 5-10 and 2200-0700 5-6, subject to change based on department needs.
- Weekend call: 1-2 weekends in an 8/wk call schedule, Friday-Monday (0600-1800 or 1800-0600), subject to change based on department needs.
Floating Requirements:
- May float to General Main OR specialty and the Urology center. No floating to other hospitals/sites.
