Required Skills/Experience:
Must have Charge Nurse experience for this role. This position can expect to regularly work in the Charge Nurse position.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Previous Charge Experience: Preferred
Candidates willing to train as charge may be considered.
Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials:
Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.

Special Requests:
RTO must be listed at time of submission.
Time off is approved on an individual basis upon offer.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Unit Details:
Adolescent and adult patient population.
Patient ratios are 5-10 in OB triage/testing and 7-14 in L&D/antepartum.
High-risk L&D care includes inductions and high-risk antepartum patients.
The unit averages around 7 deliveries daily and often has up to 14 patients during inductions and high-risk antepartum care.
OB triage averages 4-5 third-trimester testing patients and also receives an influx of triage patients each day.
Procedures include cervical cerclage, cesarean, hysterectomy, and D&C.

Shift & Scheduling:
Shift may be 3x12 or 4x12 nights.
No call.
Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements:
If needed, may float to like units.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
