Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Labor and delivery, postpartum, and antepartum experience required.
- No first-time travelers.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Ability to circulate in the OR preferred.
Special Requests:
- Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
- Previous employees may be considered only by one-off exception with approval from St. Luke’s Health System.
- RTO requests must be submitted up front.
Unit Details:
- Uses Epic.
- 1:6 for couplet care in postpartum.
- Antepartum patients include any gestation 22+ weeks; labor and delivery sees PPROM, placenta previa, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, twins, and other high-risk patients.
- RNs do not have to circulate C-sections. Recovery RNs may need to transition mom and baby independently if NICU is not available to assist. Postpartum includes full couplet assignments and car seat studies.
- RNs titrate drips including Pitocin (1-20 mL/units, may go up to 40 mL/units), insulin, and magnesium.
- Surgical tech support is available, less frequently at night.
- PPV only; NICU resource attends all deliveries.
- OB laborist, neonatologist, and designated CRNA coverage are available 24/7.
Shift & Scheduling:
- No self-scheduling. Shifts may be traded, and the manager may adjust schedules as needed.
- Every other weekend.
- Occasional holiday coverage may be needed.
- No call.
Floating Requirements:
- Float within women's services only: antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum for full assignments across Boise, Meridian, and Nampa facilities within specialty.
- Travelers are first to float and may float mid-shift or at any time during the shift based on need.
- Hospital and unit assignment are released in the app 1 hour before shift start.
