Required Skills/Experience: Level 3 or higher Labor and Delivery experience and competency to manage high acuity labor patients, including preeclampsia, preterm labor and delivery, and management of laboring and antepartum patients less than 35 weeks gestation. IV starts, cervical checks, phlebotomy, magnesium sulfate, blood administration, insulin, circulate C-sections, and C-section recovery care. Must care for couplets and be comfortable caring for normal newborn nursery patients (Level I care).
Preferred Skills/Experience: Level 3 or higher Labor and Delivery unit experience preferred (i.e. an L&D that has a Level 3 or higher NICU). Comfort with lower acuity NICU patients (Level II care) preferred. Level 2 nursery baby experience preferred.
Preferred Credentials: Electronic fetal monitoring or inpatient antepartum certification preferred.
Special Requests: You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit and facility. Requested time off will not be accepted between 8/5/26-8/20/26.
Unit Details: We see all types of pregnant patients in labor and delivery. We have the only Level 3 NICU in a 350-mile radius, so we accept patients with almost any kind of risk factor or complication. We care for high-risk all the way down to low-intervention laboring patients. Antepartum, OB triage/ED, postpartum, and infants. Patient ratios: Antepartum: 1:3; Inactive Labor: 1:2; Active Labor: 1:1; Postpartum/Couplet care: 1:3 couplets. Could be expected to precept students. Free Parking: Yes
Shift & Scheduling: Shift times: 12-hour shifts, 0630/1830, variable shifts, must work nights and days throughout contract. Some requisitions may be posted for straight nights; otherwise, comfortability to work variable shifts will be required throughout contract. Weekend rotation: every other. Could be placed on low census call. Holidays as needed.
Floating Requirements: Will be required to work Postpartum/Couplet care throughout the contract.
