Required Credentials:
Any hit on your license must be disclosed. Hits will be sent to UVA leadership for approval prior to proceeding.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Peds cardiac experience is a plus.
Unit Details:
High census, high acuity unit.
Neonate, infant, pediatric, and adolescent patient population.
Combined pediatric cardiac and medical critical care patients.
Cardiac cases may include DORV, TOF, HLHS, Norwood Sano/BT shunt, TGA, and heart transplant patients.
Medical population may include TBI, RSV+, Rhino/Entero+, DKA, trauma, seizures, and varying post-op cases including ortho, neuro, liver and kidney transplant, and heme/onc; no chemo.
Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2. If acuity is high maybe 2:1.
Shift & Scheduling:
Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
Straight nights or rotating shifts available.
Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays.
3 weekends per six-week schedule.
Can approve 40 hours for time off.
Floating Requirements:
May be required to float to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics based on staffing needs.
Special Requests:
Unable to approve time off first 2 weeks of contract.
Travelers are not eligible to return after reaching 365 total assignment days, regardless of time away.
Details:
• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
