Additional Information
Required Skills/Experience: 2 years critical care experience required.
Preferred Credentials: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Associates or Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
Unit Details: Patient population spans pediatric to geriatric. Demonstrates knowledge of the conditions/diagnoses, procedures, and equipment encountered for surgical patients. Individualizes patient care according to the procedure and type of anesthesia across the continuum of care. Performs pre-operative and postoperative assessment and education. Supports completion of patient testing in a timely manner and evaluates Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness and potential omissions based on proposed surgery, patient age, and current state of health.
Shift & Scheduling: Stemi on-call requirement is 10-12 shifts per month, with 1 to 2 weekends (Friday 5 pm-Monday 7 am) counted in the 10-12 shifts.
