Unit Details:
ICU/CVICU blended setting caring for adult and geriatric patients.
Uses Baxter pumps.
Common diagnoses/treatments include STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A. Fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma, CRRT, TCAR, and TVAR.
Shift & Scheduling:
Call required.
Floating Requirements:
Float to Intermediate Care Unit as primary RN and ED holding for admitted patients on an as-needed basis.
Special Requests:
No block schedule requests, 48 hour can be considered but not guaranteed.
