Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: ECMO Specialist training and experience greater than 6 months up to 1 year.
Special Requests: Cannot be currently active at Community through CareRev.
Unit Details: Trained to manage the ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) system and the clinical needs of patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed, ECMO-trained physician. Includes management and monitoring of the ECMO machine, circuit management, and medical and mechanical emergencies. Cares for open-heart surgery patients as assigned and manages other extracorporeal and critical care devices such as continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), Impella, and balloon pumps. Works closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver care for critically ill patients.
