Required Skills/Experience:
- Must have 1 year of experience with this patient population.
- Open heart, complex thoracic, and vascular patients recover on the unit. Patients are stabilized and supported by Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO. Common and advanced cardiac surgeries, lytic cases, carotids and TCARs, fem-pop, EVARs/Endo AAAs. The unit also supports complex cases coming from cath lab, structural heart program, EP lab, ER, and clinic.
- RNs are required to titrate drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics.
- RNs must be able to read and interpret their own telemetry strips.
Required Credentials:
- RNs in this unit are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding. A pass/fail open-book exam is given on Friday during orientation, and a 90% score is required to pass.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Manager will make the schedule.
- Every other weekend.
- Holidays every other or as needed based on unit needs.
Floating Requirements:
- Will float to all inpatient units, excluding Maternity/NICU.
Special Requests:
- An interview may not be available prior to offer.
- Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
- Resume: Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether the facility is a teaching facility.
- Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
- At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to.
- Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
- Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
- RTO needed upfront. Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
