You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required.
• IABP, Impella, HM3 LVAD, ECMO, and Zoll Thermoguard experience required.
• Basic Arrhythmia experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Experience in a Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area preferred.

Required Credentials:

• Telemetry test required prior to start.

Unit Details:

• Adult and geriatric patient population.
• Cares for cardiothoracic surgery, heart and lung transplant, and cardiac medical patients, including CABG, valve repair/replace, aneurysm repair, aortic dissection repair, LVAD, heart transplant, lung transplant, thoracic surgery, STEMI, NSTEMI, cardiogenic shock, heart failure, and arrhythmia management.
• Patient ratios typically 1-2 patients; may be assigned 3 general care patients if acuity is low and staffing resources are limited.
• Wide range of acuity; staff assignments often change throughout the shift as patients transfer out of the ICU and new patients are admitted from the OR, ER, referring facilities, or the community.
• Planned and emergent procedures frequently take place on the unit.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every other weekend.
• Some holidays.
• No call.
