Required Skills/Experience:

• 3 years of recent full time experience as a CVOR circulator in a high volume hospital setting, with demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac/thoracic/vascular procedures.

Required Credentials:

• Driver's license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license.
• Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; minimum 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization. Only 2 attempts allowed.
• Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/TDAP declinations.

Special Requests:

• Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.
• In order to receive travel rate, clinician's claimed residence must match address on driver's license.
• Must provide verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed.

Unit Details:

• The CVOR service line provides surgical interventions for routine and complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures including coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplantation, ventricular assist device placement, Impella or intra-aortic balloon pump placement, adult ECMO, and TAVR.
• Thoracic cases include laparoscopic, robot-assisted, and open procedures.
• Vascular procedures include placement/revision of ESRD grafts/fistulas and endovascular procedures in the endovascular OR.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Sat/Sun and one weekday (either Mon or Tue) based on department need at the time of interview.
• Call participation is voluntary.
