Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required Credentials:
- You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.
- ENPC will not be accepted in place of PALS.
- SIMs Lab includes Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion for travelers going to St. Joseph's main campus and/or St. Joseph's Westgate campus; this is pass/fail.
Special Requests:
- Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
- Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
- Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
Unit Details:
- Trauma, burns, and psychiatric holds; pediatric patients are transferred out.
- Uses Phillips monitors; must be able to read strips.
Shift & Scheduling:
- 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, at unit discretion.
- Holidays based on unit coverage.
Floating Requirements:
- ER float positions require floating between St. Joseph's Main, St. Joseph's Westgate, and the 2 free-standing ERs in Litchfield Park and Glendale (4 facilities total).
- A home base facility will try to be established, but it may not be the facility you regularly work at.
- A schedule will be made in advance so clinicians are aware of which location they will report to.
- Locations are about 30 minutes apart.
- Can be floated midshift.
