Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Usually 3 years of experience required; will look at 2-3 years of experience if they have Level I trauma center experience and one travel assignment.
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Previous Charge Experience: Preferred.
- Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
Special Requests:
- RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.
- No medical marijuana cards accepted.
- You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Unit Details:
- Draw own phlebotomy.
- Fast-paced, high-volume, high-acuity emergency department.
- Frequently assigned to the behavioral health ED pod.
- Standard ratios are 4:1; low-acuity areas can be 6:1 and other areas 2:1 or 3:1.
- Neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population.
- Level I trauma center caring for all ED patient types across all acuity levels, including stroke, MI/cardiac, behavioral health lockdown, fast track, and triage areas.
Shift & Scheduling:
- BJC policy: Every other weekend required.
- Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
- No call.
- No more than 7 days of RTO per 13 week contract.
Details:
• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
