Unit Details:
- Fast-paced emergency department caring for patients with a wide range of conditions, from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies.
- Responsibilities include triage, patient assessment, immediate emergency care, wound care, splinting, continuous monitoring, and response to rapid response calls and code blue situations.
- Variable, unpredictable work environment with multiple stimuli and occasional combative patients.
Shift & Scheduling:
- May include weekends and holidays.
Floating Requirements:
- Agency nurses will be floated to other departments where they are qualified to perform patient care before core staff is floated.
