Required Skills/Experience:
- 2 years of perioperative experience and 1 year of manager experience required.
- Union environment experience required.
Required Credentials:
- You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.
Special Requests:
- Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the last 12 months; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered.
- Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
Unit Details:
- Units under the manager's purview include Pre-Assessment Testing (PAT), Ambulatory Observation Unit (AOU/Preoperative), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU/Phase I recovery), Procedure Care Unit (PCU/Phase II recovery), Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, GI recovery, and Endoscopy. These departments serve both inpatient and outpatient populations.
- Primarily an administrative leadership role with staff scheduling and timecards, incident reports, supply procurement based on physician requests, patient service recovery, real-time staff issue escalation, throughput oversight, and patient rounding; no direct patient care, with wheelchair transport at most.
- Managing over 60 FTE across 5 units throughout the hospital; larger units are supported by Nurse Shift Managers who assist with daily operations.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Mon-Fri with very flexible start times.
- PACU is open 24/7; other units are open 530a-7p.
- No weekend requirement.
- No holiday requirement.
- No call.
Floating Requirements:
- First to float.
