Shift & Scheduling:
- Every third weekend is required.
- On-call time worked is not included in the contract's biweekly hours.
Unit Details:
- The ICU cares for critically ill adult patients, including medical emergencies, postsurgical care, respiratory failure, sepsis, and specialty cardiac and surgical cases.
- Some ill children may be managed in the ICU in certain situations, such as early care or stabilization, and may be transferred to larger tertiary pediatric centers when needed.
- Acute stroke patients may be managed in the ICU as needed, with telestroke and tele-neurology services available.
