References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience:
- First-time travelers not accepted.
- Vents.
- IV starts.
Required Credentials:
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Unit Details:
- Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population.
- Most common diagnoses include oncologic emergencies, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, adult respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), gastrointestinal bleed, neuromuscular disease, drug overdose, consequences of oncologic treatment, pulmonary hypertension, autoimmune disorders, and sepsis.
- Common treatments for these hemodynamically compromised patients include mechanical ventilation, pulmonary artery catheter placement, CRRT, arterial pressure monitoring, cardiac monitoring, chest tubes, central venous catheters, chemotherapy administration, complex medication regimens, clinical trials, and plasmapheresis.
- Many patients have underlying pulmonary and gastrointestinal conditions requiring bronchoscopy or endoscopy.
Shift & Scheduling:
- If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.
