Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: Acute care experience must be current/today, working consistently in the last 12 months, and in the specialty with which they are applying. Vents. IV starts.
Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Special Requests: Cannot apply to any James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities if you have an active application to any of the Ohio State University facilities.
Unit Details: Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population. Common diagnoses include oncologic emergencies, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, adult respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), gastrointestinal bleed, neuromuscular disease, drug overdose, consequences of oncologic treatment, pulmonary hypertension, autoimmune disorders, and sepsis. Common treatments and procedures include mechanical ventilation, pulmonary artery catheter placement, CRRT, arterial pressure monitoring, cardiac monitoring, chest tubes, central venous catheters, chemotherapy administration, complex medication regimens, clinical trials, plasmapheresis, bronchoscopy, and endoscopy.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend coverage is variable based on unit needs.
