Required Skills/Experience:
- Postop surgical care and general Med-Surg care.
Unit Details:
- Nurse: patient ratios are 1:4-5 on 12 hr days and 1:5-6 on 12 hr nights.
- Wide variety of medical-surgical and postoperative orthopedic patients, including trauma cases with fractures.
- Uses CPAP and heated high flow as needed.
- House-wide telemetry pack monitors; Philips monitors.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend for night shift is Fri/Sat.
- No call.
Floating Requirements:
- Travel RNs are first to float if needed; this happens occasionally to other Med-Surg floors.
