Required Skills/Experience:
CBI experience is required.
TURP experience is required.
PCA experience is required.
Plastic-surgery skills are required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Bariatric experience is preferred.
Aneurysm experience is preferred.
EVD experience is preferred.
BiPAP experience is preferred.
Unit Details:
Patients include admissions from the ED, trauma surgery, and general surgery.
The unit handles pre- and post-cardiac care, sheath removal, and TAVR-related care.
The unit does not use titratable drips.
Open-heart cases are no longer performed on the unit.
Patients include adolescents age 14 and older; parents must be present.
Shift & Scheduling:
No call.
Weekend rotation is every other weekend.
Holiday rotation is every other holiday.
Floating Requirements:
Floats to like units and lower-acuity units.
