Additional Details:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: IV start, telemetry, ventilators, and intracranial pressure monitoring.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching hospital experience preferred.
Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Special Requests: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. Cannot apply to any Ohio State University facilities if you have an active application to any of the James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities.
Unit Details: Adult patient population. Bedside procedures such as tracheostomy, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG), central line and arterial line placement, and EVD placement. Patients requiring invasive neuromonitoring such as EVD monitoring and ICP monitoring, mechanically ventilated patients, and EEG monitoring. Patient population includes ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subarachnoid hemorrhages, seizures, neuromuscular diseases such as myasthenia gravis and Guillain-Barré syndrome, meningitis, and post-operative neurosurgery patients undergoing spinal surgery, craniotomies, and cerebrovascular surgery.
Shift & Scheduling: Day/night rotation every 4 weeks with shifts 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Every other weekend. For day shift, weekends are Saturday and Sunday. For night shift, weekends are Friday and Saturday; Sunday nights are not classified as weekend shifts.
Floating Requirements: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity within the OSU organization as needed.
