Required Skills/Experience: 2+ years including hematology/oncology/infusion, triage, and phlebotomy. Experience with port access, IV starts, and lab draws.
Unit Details: BMC does not have telemetry technicians. Busy hematology/oncology clinic with infusion suite. Responsibilities include triage telephone calls from patients, families, and referring offices; follow-up calls; prescription refills; home care referrals; reviewing lab/X-ray results and notifying providers of critical values; documenting in applicable electronic health record systems; communicating triage notes to physicians for follow-up care; patient vitals, medication reconciliation, and health histories; pre-visit chart review; and nurse-only visits. In-office procedures include ordered injections, pump disconnects, vaccines, immunizations, EKGs, PFTs, and assisting with bone marrows and surgical procedures.
Shift & Scheduling: No set day off. No weekends or major holidays.
