Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Able to scrub and circulate.
- Trauma experience at least at a level 1-2.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Critical care experience preferred.
Unit Details:
- Outpatient, inpatient, and trauma cases; approx. 60-75 cases/day.
- Case mix includes GSW, stabbings, kidney and hearts transplant, donor cases, general, gyn, urology, robotic, vascular, ortho, neuro, open hearts, and CABGs.
- Hybrid room sees between 5-10 cases/day depending on what cases are scheduled; adults only. TAVR, AAA, endarterectomies, angiograms, fistula revisions.
- 20% pediatric cases (open hearts, appy, choley).
- No liver or lung transplant.
- Participates in Gifts of Hope cases.
- Uses Alaris and Pyxis; hybrid room uses Siemens equipment.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Day shift 4x10 or 5x8.
- Weekend rotation: every 4th weekend (Sat-Sun).
- 6 week schedule; will receive 2-4 ahead.
- Schedule is rotation based with no self-scheduling; assignments are plugged in where needed based on the rotation.
- Holiday coverage required.
- On-call: 3 calls in a 6 week schedule. 30 min. response time required. Sleeping room available for on-call team member.
