Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Screen > 2 years if has at least 1 year in Level 1 trauma experience. Circulate required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Scrub preferred.
Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Special Requests: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. Locals are not accepted for Surgical Services positions, including OR and PACU. IN residents are considered local. IU Health will not allow IN RNs to work at their facilities. Exceptions include Periop/OR RNs, allied, and ambulatory RN travelers. Periop includes endo, IR RN, PACU, cath lab RN, and SDS.
Unit Details: Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population. Core 3 & 4 includes general, plastic, GYN, ENT, trauma, neuro and ortho, GU, and colorectal robotics cases.
Shift & Scheduling: Mon-Fri with call and/or holidays. Call required: 6 call shifts in a 6 week period- can vary. Must work 2/3 major holidays.
Floating Requirements: OR RNs need to be well rounded and current in most areas except CV & Transplant as they will be floated where needed.
